The
Company Director, Charles Wood, has many years experience of delivering
complex technical solutions to industry. These include: the control systems
used in the West End musical, Chess, and the network display systems
used by British Telecom. (He installed and maintained the system seen
on many TV productions for more than 7 years). After working for some
years at Snell and Wilcox designing projection display upconverters and
then presenting the Company's High Definition products to major players in the world, he went back to running
his own company, Salsatap.
He
has gone on to produce and direct many promos and 4 dance teaching DVDs,
along with many show reels and other forms of work, including an introductory
video for a local hospital (shot and edited by Salsatap).
We
are very experienced with modern digital technology and are interested
in interactive products, be they delivered on DVD or on-line via a web site. Salsatap has designed and runs about 30 web sites, mostly
for musicians and dance-associated arts projects, including films.
We would be pleased
to talk to local and international companies who have small to medium- sized projects that can make use of the skills that have gone into the dance
DVDs. We are particularly interested in projects that require an artistic
input, and have budgets in the range £2000 to £20,000. We are prepared
to consider projects down to £350 in budget for web sites or show-reels for individual musicians and artists or actors.
We
are a small partnership with access to a range of professionals, as required,
to deliver a solution to your presentation problem. This can range from "prettying up" an existing PowerPoint presentation so it has impact or can be delivered on DVD, through
to projects like "how to build an engine…in twenty interactive steps"!!
While
DVD remains a quality solution to delivering video work, few companies
can deliver the interactivity that we can in Salsatap. We are experienced
at authoring and testing such DVDs. We are also economical and good at
producing the original video that can be used to make these interactive
products. We are experienced at delivering video on the web and can design
a similar web product with improved features over a DVD, for delivery
by web or as CD or DVDrom, and at the same video quality as a DVD.
Don’t
be deceived into thinking a dance video is all pazzaz. Dancers are probably
the hardest audience in the world to deliver product to: They want great
looking video, delivering accurate information with style and at a low
cost. Almost certainly, our skills at doing this well will work in your
marketplace.
